Leonhard Nicolaus Karl Fink (Nick Fink) wurde am 17. Oktober 1894 als Sohn von Leonard und Barbara (Glock) Fink im Süden von Stuttgart geboren. Er starb am 3. Februar 1972 im Alter von 77 Jahren.
Nick was baptized in the Christian Faith at Emmanuel Lutheran church at Stuttgart, Kansas on November 12, 1894 by Pastor T. Schulz. He was confirmed in the Christian Faith at Emmanuel Lutheran church on April 12, 1908 and was a member of this congregation at the time or his death.
Er war Veteran im 1. Weltkrieg und spielte im Stuttgarter Baseball Club.
Im April 1919 heiratete er Elisabeth Marie Sophia Schurz.
Er war viele Jahre Farmer in der Region um Logan. 1936 begann er für die 'D. G. Hansen Construction Company' zu arbeiten. (s.a. D. G. Hansen Museum)
He was preceded in death by parents and one brother, Bill. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Elizabeth, three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Kaiser of Phillipsburg, Kansas Eva, Mrs. Herman Kaiser, Stuttgart, Kansas and Marie, Mrs. William Boethin of Logan and one brother, Edward of Agra and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held at Emmanuel Lutheran church in Stuttgart Saturday Feb. 5, 1972 with the Reverend Duane Levin officiating. Hymns were sung by Al Veeh and Norman Merklein and by the congregation with Mrs. Marene Levin as organist.Casket bearers were Erwin Kaiser, Harold Kaiser, Calvin Boethin, Wilbur Boethin, Eddie Fink and Ralph Fink. Burial was in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery at Stuttgart, Kans.
